Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Downtown

Corner Room 650 one of the most spacious hotel rooms I ever seen and immaculately clean. The Room Service Girls were Amazingly Sweet and So very Helpful. Breakfast Sandwiches were pretty decent on the 2nd floor but closes down too early at 9a.m. ( HINT: You have to take the stairwell from the 3rd floor because your room key will not allow Hilton Garden Guest elevator access to the free Breakfast mini buffet) The free breakfast is for the guest staying at the other hotel that shares the same building with Hilton Garden. Either way it good but not Muhammad Ali kinda Great.. but still good.

This hotel was conveniently located and extremely clean. All employees were friendly and helpful, there were 3 elevators which meant no waiting, the hallways were clean and well lit. Everything was freshly updated/new and nicely decorated. There were no bad smells. The room looked brand new. I liked that the bathroom used large refillable bottles attached to the wall instead of those wasteful tiny bottles. Even though there is a sign in your room that says your room will be serviced every other day, we did get service on the 1st night which was a really nice surprise. You really couldn't ask for much more in a hotel these days! Only very minor negatives (I hate to even call them that but they are important things to know for some people)- valet parking is $32/night. They don't offer official self-parking but there is a lot around the corner (very close) that is like $10/day, so not bad. Breakfast is not included but they do have a bar and restaurant. The door to the bathroom is just a slider, sort of like a barn door, not a pocket door, so there is very little privacy in that regard. Other than that, perfection!

Our room was very clean, nicely decorated and big. We did have a problem with the lights by the bed not working but that was the only issue we had during our stay. They even let me check out a day early and didn't charge me just so I could make my radiation appointment on time. Thank you for that. It made it much easier. The only complaint I had was the breakfast buffet. If you are going to charge someone $20 for a buffet make sure you have more than just eggs, sausage and potatoes. Needs improvement. Look for our reservation for the next EDC.

The hospitality at this location was very nice. The front desk and valet were very helpful. I only give 3 stars out of 5 because my hotel room set my allergies off pretty badly. It seemed like the ac unit was old or dust-filled. I read another review that mentioned their room smelled like dog dander, I can understand what they mean, if this hotel is pet friendly. The room itself was laid out nicely, but in retrospect I should have requested a different room after experiencing my allergy flare up. Other than that the staff was very accommodating. If you have allergies just be vigilant and proactive. Nice hotel location! Thanks.

I would like to share with management the absolute worst experience I had at your hotel with Aaron that was checking me into your hotel. I always travel for work and I usually love staying at your hotel, but today Aaron made my experience anything but lovable. I lost my wallet unfortunately on my way to Orlando and when I was checking in I handed my ID to Aaron and asked him for a credit card authorization form so I could have my company pay for incidentals. Aaron refused and told me it could not be done. I insisted since I’ve done this with Hilton before. Aaron got into a heated verbal fight with me in front of other guests absolutely shaming me before all the other guests that were checking in and made me feel horrible for not having a card. When I told Aaron that I have done incidentals before using a card authorization form and insisted with him that this is something Hilton does to assist in this situation, he said that Hilton does to some guests but not to me. I kept asking him why not me specifically? He and the other team members just stayed laughing at the situation. I felt extremely embarrassed and discriminated. He couldn’t check me in with an authorization form because I am black? Was he judging the way I was dressed? Or the fact that I speak with an accent? I don’t know. All I know is that he had a discriminatory way of saying to me what he said. I shared this story with my company that is very discouraged to book here going forward. I would appreciate if management gets back to me with some kind of explanation and apology. I understand this team member does not represent Hilton that is usually very welcoming and inclusive, but I am letting my company decide next steps to address this situation. Please take this into consideration and provide the correct training to your staff so that this does not happen with other guests. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
